It's summer at Hazelnut House. Outside the crickets chirp, the redstart sings in the tree and the fruit trees carry sweet mirabelles and cherry plums on their branches. The air smells of freshly cut hay. The vegetables in the beds are now showing their fullness. Yellow and green courgettes grow in the garden. Red peppers, fennel, peas and colourful tomatoes in various colours and shapes fill our basket. Swipe with your palms over the basil field, discover white cauliflower between the cabbage leaves. Roasted in the oven it is such a pleasure!


With a bunch of edible flowers in our hands, we return to the kitchen. We must definitely try the mozzarella cheese and burrata from the small Luxembourg manufactory. Their taste is incomparable! The harvest and our menu become a celebration of colours. The cuisine is refreshingly Mediterranean. What a pleasure to cook with open doors! In the middle of the orchard we cover a long, white, festive table. Champagne sparkles in the glasses.
