Cooking with Wild Flowers and Herbs

It's May at Hazelnut House. At no time of the year  the meadows and fields are as bright green as now in spring.  On the adjoining orchard and along the pathways around Hazelnut House we discover wonderful wild herbs and edible flowers! My favourite varieties: the closed flower panicles of meadow bedstraw and the delicate leaves of dandelion, wild carrot, pimpinelle and wild garlic! In a very small space we encounter a huge variety of tasty herbs! On our herb hike we open our eyes to true treasures of this season and learn new things about the healing powers of the regional wild herbs in our kitchen. Afterwards we bring our wild treasures into the kitchen to create delicious recipes.
